Namespace

Namespace is a "folder" or "sandbox". Not everything is namespaced:

kubectl explain namespace

Compare the output to the yaml in the previous exercise, notice how "more info" links are super hard to read.

Find namespace under "Cluster Resources"

You can have more explain by specifying the field:

kubectl explain namespace.status

Try listing pods (more later) and see how it tries to find pods from the default namespace

kubectl get pod

No resources found in default namespace.

Change the default namespace with

kubectl config set-context --current --namespace=__NAME__

Context "matti@test-4.eu-north-1.eksctl.io" modified.

Now list pods again

kubectl get pod

No resources found in __NAME__ namespace.
